Jon-Paul Kaiser sends over snaps of his commissioned custom-Giver (originally from Andrew Bell) - now done in his signature black-n-white aesthetics - and is hereby dubbed Cthulhu is Unwell "because of his distinctly non-perky demeanor... and guts hanging out... and his face is a skull.." ~mentions JPK. "After a long time staring at it, the elongated teeth suggested tentacles to me and that was

Custom-Feature: Zangeif PAWS by Jon-Paul Kaiser
"This was a Coarse Toys PAW which I've customised by resculpting the head and painting him up as the icon of bear-wrestling cool: Zangief from Street Fighter 2. He's a great character, and with the over-the-top musculature of the PAW figure, I felt he was perfect for this character." ~by Jon-Paul Kaiser [More Zangief here]

Custom-Feature: Rose Vampire by Jon-Paul Kaiser
UK-based artist Jon-Paul Kaiser shares his custom Rose Vampire from Super7, featuring a swell coat of color - which we do not see that often of! JPK adds: "In my opinion Super7's best creation and one of the smartest little toys out there. It's quite a challenge to paint them the way I do because of the petals and leaf details on them. Anyway, it's a rare colour custom, though discussing it with

Custom-Feature: Greedo Munny of Star Wars by Jon-Paul Kaiser
In the wild wild frontiers of outer space, it doesn't matter who shot first, it matters who stays alive when the smoke clears. Han was lucky. Greedo, well, Greedo yakked too much for his own sake, didn't he? Folks who yak on indiscriminately always gets a blaster ray to their body when they least expect it, don't they? *ZAP*"He's one of my favourite Star Wars characters, mainly due to his

Custom-Feature: Wraith Squad Bertie by Jon-Paul Kaiser
We have a certain slang here in Singapore - in which we immediately exclaim "Power!" once witnessed - which essentially means some happenstance or item has reached the championed state of indisputable claim to power amongst all others, complete with bragging rights and instant infamy (or something like that lah….) - and in this respect, this custom by UK-artist Jon-Paul Kaiser, is "POWER!"We

Custom-Feature: Pain & Fury PAWS by Jon-Paul Kaiser
Jon-Paul Kaiser customizes a coarse PAWS! figure, and it looks amazing even with the ears lobed off! Sporting nifty facial hair and "PAIN" and "FURY" finger tattoos, this commissioned piece is one for the ages, IMHO.JPK-adds: "It's a Coarse Toys PAW, which are unbelieveably hard to customise!!! The thickness and quality of the original paintwork meant it took ages to strip it down & prime it up,

Custom-Feature: Pandaimyo 8" Dunny by Jon-Paul Kaiser
This is what Jon-Paul Kaiser had to say about his latest custom - dubbed PANDAIMYO: "It's another Panda-Themed custom for the same UK collector who had my Pandashigaru and Cyber-Panda customs. This is the same character as Pandashigaru, but much later in his life where he has risen to the level of Daimyo. Leading the battle and roaring ready for the initial charge."Pandaimyo is painted onto an 8

Custom-Feature: Ram-Man by Jon-Paul Kaiser
I don't know if anybody is aware (well, except for those who have customer one, or bought one), but the Mini Cuppa Tea figure is actually pretty adorably tiny at 2" tall (modeled above-left by creator Matt 'Lunartik' JOnes and friend). So you can imagine the effort put forth by Jon-Paul Kaiser to custom-paint his custom - which debuted at the Mini Cup of Tea tour in Pictoplasma las weekend! (

Custom-Feature: CyberPanda by Jon-Paul Kaiser
I reckon it was only a matter of time we saw a custom from Jon-Paul Kaiser utilizing the Chukboy mecha-Dunny form. Say hello to "CyberPanda" ~ completed for a UK collector.JPK: "…I took mine down a different path to normal, making the whole quite dark in tone, with blended shading on the armour, a bit of colour and the stark B&W of the Panda on the organic parts. Word around the campfire is that

Custom-Feature: Salvation Ink by Jon-Paul Kaiser
UK-artist Jon-Paul Kaiser has this to say about his latest custom: "It's a Salvation Ink from Usugrow. From the moment I saw this when it was released I thought the sculpt was perfect! I was lucky enough to get commissioned to paint one for a UK customer and when I got hold of it, the sculpt was even better than I imagined, and quite honestly is possibly the best sculpt I've ever come across."

Jon-Paul Kaiser x TOYSREVIL for CLEA 2010
WHAT: I was in Thailand a the beginning of September 2010 to cover The Character Licensing Expo Asia / CLEA and had posted a host of happenings, but it was not completed. There were many more to be blogged about, and this is one such post…This image came about when I had expressed my desire to produce something for CLEA, either a sticker or postcard print I could give away and promote both my

Custom Works on TOYSREVIL (Mar/4/2011)
I like mecha-builds and armor, and Huck Gee constantly produces custom-builds on Munnys that make me lust for toys mutely. His latest creation, the "the Vlad Systems Terrain One Mobile Suit©" for his "Sgt Vasquez" Munny fits such a mold ever so sweetly. But alas, the price-point ever keeps me humbled ~ but I am sure fans do not necessarily feel that way? At least for 10 fans :)Each figure is

The Heavy Metal Qee Project with Daniel Perry
"Word-association" is a varied different thing with each varying individual. Most times they are associated with past happenings or simple word-recognition (I am not an expert, and that sentence should not be taken as such). So when you mention "Heavy Metal" to me, the first thing I though of was European adult comic-strips (aka "Heavy Metal Comics").Whereas Daniel Perry's HEAVY METAL QEE
