Ultraman Seven Capsule Toys by TOUMA x Bandai

ULTRAMAN 7 x TOUMA sees two series' worth of iconic Ultraman (Ultra Seven) characters interpreted by Japanese designer TOUMA, and produced by Bandai into the form of capsule / gashapon toys = featuring 5 sets of 4 designs per set (Series 1 x 2 sets / Series 2 x 3 sets) = hella loads to collect, IMHO! Best bet is to check with your fav toy-retailer for availability (FYI: these are circa 2008-09)

seen@anime festival asia 08: bandai / sukichika series (day zero)

This is a new term for me "(Super) Squashed" - which I reckon to be the equivalent of "Super-Deformed" BUT also utterly adorably baby-cute (litle an even squashier Pink St. with short limbs and body *giggle*). Seen @ the S.I.C Booth within Bandai's PLANET MECH Zone @ the Anime Festival Asia 2008 [tagged] was this huge series of mini-figures (approx less than 2" tall) - each standing on a base

seen@anime festival asia 08: bandai / super imaginative chogokin / s.i.c. (day zero)

The S.I.C. Booth @ Bandai's PLANET MECH Zone @ the Anime Festival Asia 2008 [tagged] saw a truly awesome display of articulated figures - featuring Kamen Riders, Saint Seiyas, and loads more - both production and prototypes of future releases - most notably the S.I.C. Vol.44 Zeronos & Deneb Imagin (shown below), and a new smaller-scaled figure with Kiwami-Damashii Masked Rider Hibiki (yep, I took

ben 10 @ anime festival asia 2008 (day zero + one)

The BEN 10 Alien Force Toy Showcase at Bandai's arena @ Anime Festival Asia 2008 [tagged] saw the latest toys associated with Cartoon Network’s Ben 10 Alien Force Series on display. (Some were available for purchase at seperate satlls/booths within the exhibition hall itself :p)./// CLICK THRU for pics taken on Day Zero (pre-event / Press Con / shown above) and have just added Day One pictures -

digimons @ anime festival asia 2008 (day zero)

Digimons seen @ Bandai's showcase arena @ Anime Festival Asia 2008 [tagged] on Day Zero (pre-event / Press Con-day). Some figures still "taking a nap" before their full-on debut the next day for two days between November 22 and 23rd 2008 :)

bandai cute @ anime festival asia 2008 (day zero)

I literally do not know how to label this particular showcase booth @ Bandai's display arena, other than "Bandai Cute" - basically becoz it is going to be displaying all the kiddie-cute toy-concepts and products in the following 2 days happening this weekend at the Anime Festival Asia 2008 [tagged] @ Suntec City Hall 403-404. Hopefully more images of toys on display other than these taken on Day

bandai @ anime festival asia 2008 (day zero)

Day Zero @ BANDAI's PLANET MECH Arena saw the set-up of a human-sized Gundam figure greeting vistiors as they enter Suntec City Halls 403-404 for the Anime Festival Asia 2008 [tagged]. More of a thorough-fare pragmatic display concept compared to their presence at the recent Singapore Toy & Comic Convention 2008 [blogged] - the Bandai banner flew high (literally) with a cube-balloon, and seperate

seen@sdcc2008: tamashii nations

In addition to the Movie Realization Batman & Batpod [tagged / pic courtesy of Steve Talkowski's flickr] on display at the Tamashii Nations' booth @ SDCC (altho I wonder why they are still showing the unpainted proto) included various rump-kicking hyper-insane'O S.I.C. Imagination Works Dioramas showcasing works by Takayuki Takeya and Kenji Ando - for which Kirkland of Toybot Studios has more

shitama-kun & konta @ san diego comic convention 2008

Peep the devilish vinyl-duo SDCC-exclusive for Toynami dubbed SHITAMA-KUN & KONTA! ... And while I have no empirical evidence to back this up, my humble deduction is that: this figure is a vinylization of a Furi Furi-designed character and is one of the character icons for Tamashii (Bandai's new collector-focused label / Japanese-www) - Shitama-Kun and his trust doggie Konta is limited to only

movie realization batman & batpod for bandai

Remember the Masakazu Katsura-designed Batman / Dark Knight (with Batpod) for BANDAI's Movie Realization line - showcased [and featured] during the recent Tokyo Toy Show? Well, here are more (prototype) pics courtesy of Amiami.com [all pics via] with a pre-order price of 6,952YEN (US$65 / SGD$88) compared to the SRP of 8,925YEN (US$84 / SGD$114) - wish I had the dough tho :p ... seen@stcc08: ben10 epic alien figures

I watched my first (near) full episode of BEN10 [wiki] today on the telly. Via pure happenstance I clicked unto the kids' channel this Saturday morning and watched Ben dial and transform into a multitude of super-powered Omnitrix characters (reminds me loads of "Dial-H-For-HERO" tho) ... and I remembered also standing, transfixed at both 12-incher tall EPIC Alien Figures FOUR ARMS and HEATBLAST

tamashi nation batman @ tokyo toy show 2008

Now, I do not think I'm known to be an "eloquent" man (I'd like to think I am but I know I'm delusional) - so when I set my humble-peepers on this TAMASHI NATION's THE DARK KNIGHT figure currently on display this weekend at the International Tokyo Toy Show 2008 [tagged] - all I can think of to share with you folks is: I shat meself - twice. (thank teh CyberGawds I don't write for a living, innit
